Here we are, and isn't it beautiful! This picture was taken at "Garden of the Gods," an amazing place. More on that later.
Of course, one of the latest and greatest since we arrived has been our engagement. I proposed on our one-year dating anniversary; she was so thrilled.
Alright, ladies, here are some close-ups of LeEllen's "bling."
Man in the mirror. I took this picture of LeEllen at her appartment shortly after we arrived in Colorado.
Here I am in front of my place with Mark, my landlord.
He's an interesting character. Mark, his wife and his daughter are all in Japan right now doing missionary work. He works as a youth pastor for military kids overseas. Great guy. The picture says it all.
And here I am with Mike, one of my housemates and a great musician. He's fun to talk with because he has the widest variety of interests I've ever seen encountered in anyone.
Another one of my housemates is the constantly growing pile of books and schoolwork on my desk.
This is Denver Seminary's campus.
Here we are with some good friends we've met. We all go to church together at a place called the rock. From left to right, we have Jonathan (holding Zohera!) and Caroline (a couple we hang out with nearly every weekend), Scott and Nancy, and then LeEllen and I. We had just eaten at Red Robin (I don't think we have those back in Massachusetts, it's an oustanding burger joint).
The sky was breathtaking that evening.
Maybe 3 months before we left, my dad straight up gave me his truck. Amazing. Had he not, I probably wouldn't be here. He loves fishing, so in gratitude, I decided to leave his bass ornament hanging from the rear-view.
The landscape is so unique. Now, back to "Garden of the Gods," all of the next several photos were taken there, a stunning public park in Colorado springs. I had honestly never seen with my bare eyes such distinct rock forms.
She was playing with my glasses. More "Garden" shots...
Here come some images of friends hanging out at Jonathan and Carolyn's place.
That would be me in the center with Jonathan and Dean. We all know eachother from school. Truly excellent fellows.
Yeah, we're basically gonna take the seminary world by storm.
The next batch comes from a hiking trip I went on with some gentlemen from school. We checked out a decent sized trail at Waldo Canyon, also in Colorado Springs. The views are spectacular.
From left to right with have Ben (the gifted photographer), Tim, John Gooch, myself, and Matt.
See what I mean? Indescribable.
Who am I waving at?
Tim, Mr. Gooch, Myself, and Matt. Ben took the picture, as well asall of the other hiking photos above. He really gets some great shots.
And that just about does it. Thanks for scrolling all the way to the bottom. Have a great day!
